1. Information We Collect

When you use MealMeow, we may collect the following information:

  • Account information: Email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
  • Cat profiles: Name, age, weight, breed, activity level, health conditions, and goals you enter for your cats.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions with recommendations — collected via Vercel Analytics.
  • AI chat messages: Messages you send to the MealMeow AI assistant. These are processed by Anthropic and are not stored long-term by MealMeow.
  • Community content: Posts, comments, meal plans, and food reviews you choose to share publicly.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To calculate personalized calorie targets and food recommendations for your cats.
  • To power the AI chat assistant with relevant context about your cats.
  • To improve the accuracy of our food scoring and recommendation algorithms.
  • To display community features like shared meal plans and posts.
  • To monitor app performance and fix bugs.

3. Third-Party Services

MealMeow uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Supabase — Database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
  • Vercel — Hosting and analytics (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
  • Anthropic — AI chat processing (anthropic.com/privacy)

We do not sell your personal data to any third parties.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

MealMeow uses cookies solely for authentication session management (via Supabase). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Local storage may be used to preserve UI preferences (e.g., selected filters).

5. Your Rights

  • You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.
  • You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.
  • Community content you have published can be deleted by you at any time.

6. Data Security

All data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies. Passwords are never stored in plain text. HTTPS is enforced for all connections.

7. Children's Privacy

MealMeow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
